The latest manifestation in Daiwa's LT storyline is the Laguna LT. The LT Concept of light and tough is embraced by the redesigned reel. The True Carbon Frame, which is as rigid as conventional materials, reduces both weight and size. The Air Rotor System improves balance and rotation, and it reduces rotor weight by 15%. With 3 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing, reel performance is silky smooth. Few reels in this price range have 3 ball bearings. The Machined Aluminum handle is swept back, and the knob is oversized and ergonomically designed.

Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag, known as ATD DRAG, uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. DIGIGEAR, Daiwa's first generation of digitally engineered gear design, ensures a perfect mesh between ultra-tough drive gear and pinion gears for optimized speed, power, durability, and smoothness.
